Recently, fraudulent emails, appearing to be from Golden Plains Credit Union, were sent to members and nonmembers, asking them to click on a link in the email. This link then redirected them to a fraudulent web site, that appeared to be GPCU’s web site, where members and nonmembers were prompted to enter personal financial information.

Golden Plains Credit Union will never solicit personal, private information via email, asking you to confirm or update your account information.

If you responded to one of these emails, please contact us immediately at abuse@gpcu.org.  Also contact your local Golden Plains Credit Union location and report the theft of this information as soon as possible. We will flag your account and contact you regarding any unusual activity.

Also:

  • Review your billing statements carefully.
  • Check your other online accounts (PayPal, etc); everything for which you use an online password.
  • Report the theft to one of the credit reporting agencies; the one you contact will contact the other two agencies.
