Construction is under way for Golden Plains’ new Corporate Headquarters. The all-new 48,757 square foot, two-story building will provide a complete array of financial services, including: 10 drive-thru lanes with 2 ATM’s, a call center, a member coffee café, a large training facility, a fitness center for employees and 6 teller dialogue stations. The teller dialogue stations will provide a more personalized experience for members. These stations will replace the idea of having a “barrier” and the formality created by a traditional teller counter and will instead provide a more open, personable space for employees to work with members.

In the lobby, there will be a coffee café where members can get coffee or cocoa if they have a wait time. There will be a nice, cozy fire (as the season calls for it), as well as digital marketing messages. The lobby will provide more of a retail look than the traditional financial institution.

The drive-thru facility will be constructed to be large enough to serve current and future needs. There will also be large 15” monitors for each drive-up. Members will enjoy a live easy-to-see display of the teller they are working with and GPCU will be able to provide marketing messages through the units when the member experiences wait time.

Momentum is the design-build firm that has designed the building and will oversee construction. They have years of experience in financial institution design and construction. Through a bidding process, many local contractors are working on the project.

This facility should accommodate growth at Golden Plains for the next 20 years. Initially, the new building will allow for five new permanent employee positions to be added. The expected completion of the new Headquarters is November 2011.
